Southerntrekker: This cache has been in need of care and maintenance for some time and as the owner has not repaired/replaced it, I am archiving it.

Geocache Description:

Hidden within fairlop waters country park central line underground station Fairlop short walk to the park.mostly well paved route around the park suitable for prams. some mud now great views over the lake. public car park with loads of spaces

Fairlop waters was once used as an airfield during the II world war. 20 years ago the council created a lake with paths and 18 hole golf course. The facilities that are in the park are very good you could stop off and have lunch in the restaurant or pub or have a nice afternoon wandering around the lake. Sailing can also be seen here from time to time. I chose this location because it very flat and suitable for disabled geocaches (except the last bit around the tree's and things Parking N 51.35.720 E 000.05.839 from here its about a half mile walk..
