Another drive-by-caching site. Parking at McDonalds. BYOP. Difficulty rating by cachers at my event.
This used to be the main road into Ocala from the Silver Springs Shores area. They have now routed the road to the west. It was a 2 lane road and goes past many Dr's offices and between the 2 hospitals. Just be glad that they put the 6 lane in as the main road. You would be hours traveling through here with all the snowbirds in the winter, spring, summer, and fall. Well I guess that covers just about the entire year.
And yes, I know that just south of the cache is an ideal place for a larger container but I didn't have time to get permission from the local McDonalds franchise corp.
I was by the cache site recently and that lovely place that I could have put a regular cache was totally cleaned up. The plants have been trimmed and the place looks nice again. If I had place a regular cache there it would have been missing. So I guess everything worked out well.
