4.23. Unarchiving a Geocache

The archiving of a geocache is intended to be a permanent status. That is why only community volunteer reviewers and Geocaching HQ staff have the capability to unarchive it. This is done only in rare circumstances and only if it meets the current Geocache Listing Guidelines.

If a geocache is archived by a reviewer or staff for lack of maintenance it will not be unarchived.

Geocache Description:

Located near the Capel River Cut

This area would rate as extremely pleasant if it weren’t for the mozi's - so be warned, not to mentioned the possibility of a snake or two…so keep your eyes open.
The cut was created in 1873/4 to reduce flooding behind the dunes. The river use to drain into the Yanget Swamp and eventually the Wonnerup Wetlands, then out to sea at the Wonnerup Inlet.

If you have 4WD you can get within a few 100 meters, if you dont, a short walk from the nearest carpark is required. The river is sometimes impassable (height of winter) and an approach from the north may be your only option (4WD), though the beach can get pretty narrow/steep so keep that in mind. Summer - sand bar forms so you dont even have to get your feet wet when coming from the south.
