Yuba City Park Caches #1 Shanghai Bend Traditional Cache
Nitroguy: Great park but the city keeps trimming the bushes and removing the cache. The park bushes are trimmed to keep the bad guys from hiding and doing bad things like drugs.

An easy drive up with little difficulty with a short walk. This is the first of my tour of Yuba City Parks Caches. I dreamed up the YC parks tour while taking my granddaughter to play in all the parks in town.
Bring a pen for a log entry. This one's for the kids/grandkids, easy to find, and it takes them to a really fun park with a great play area.
Taking up just 6 acres it seems larger because of so many neat features such as a large sunken grassy play areas where it is easy to fly kites while watching children play nearby. Other amenities: basketball courts, walking trail, play equipment, picnic tables, benches, large climbing rocks and a nice water park area with a dragon that spits clean water in summer.
Now a bit of local history: In 1955 the levee broke just 1/2 mile away from this park. The 1955 Flood caused 38 deaths and flood damage est. @ $20,500,00.00
The floods of December 1955 were the most widespread and destructive of any in the recorded history of northern California.
