Short walk (5 Min.) into the woods of the Cannons Creek Boat Ramp area.
Parr Reservoir is a 4,400 acre lake with 94 miles of shoreline. This lake is actually part of the Broad River and is located near Columbia. South Carolina Electric and Gas (SCE&G) owns Parr Reservoir, and Monticello Reservoir. Lake Monticello and Parr Reservoir are used together for the purpose of generating hydroelectricity at the Fairfield Pumped Storage facility. During peak demand for electricity, water flows from Lake Monticello's turbines to Parr Reservoir, and during periods of low demand for electricity water is pumped back into Monticello from Parr Reservoir.
