Geocache Description:

The cache is located on a stretch of the Old Highway 2 from Orondo to Waterville. Parking within 25 feet of the cache. There is no need to go down the slope. Cache is well concealed due to snowfall in the area, please rehide it accordingly.

From the cache site, you can see the new, straighter highway 2 below and beyond that a peek of the Columbia River. Berms have been pushed onto the old highway to keep intrepid explorers out.
Notice the Palisades directly above the cache site and the rocks on the road to the east.
Imagine driving this road in the winter where those old cable "guard rails" would not be of much use!
