Geocache Description:

Very accessable area to hike near Stevens Pass with exceptional views. I was going to place a cache at Skyline Lake and took the wrong turn and ended up at this new cell site. The view was great, so I just happened to have a 35mm micro ready to go. Excellent area to snowshoe in the winter. Please return the cache exactly as found, so it doesn't get blown away in the winds. This hike will involve about a 2.5 mile round trip hike with an elevation gain of 1,100 ft.

Park at Stevens Pass ski area and find the gravel road to the NW that goes up behind the ski cabins. Cross under the high voltage power lines and head north up the gated gravel road. This gate was open and I did see that 4x4s have been up the road, but I wouldn't recommend you try it unless you have a small wheelbase rig with lockers. The road is VERY steep. The first 1/4 mile is in trees and then opens up to alpine slopes with better and better views. This area is an exceptional huckleberry picking area in late summer. Skyline Lake is a pleasent short walk through the woods and to my other cache I placed today.
