Geocache Description:

This cache is located in Folsom near Humbug Creek.

I thought I had put a pen and pencil in the cache, but based on a log in Jan, the writing implements are not there. If someone could leave a pen or pencil, I'd appreciate it.

I placed the first version of this cache in December 2001. I’m pretty sure it was the first cache in Folsom that wasn’t along the lake or river. It was found about 80 times and was the first cache ever for eight geocachers. In November of 2004, the first version became too well hidden to be found. For those of you who found the first version, this will be a trip down memory lane.

The hardest part of this cache is figuring out where to park. There is no good place to park. If you think this may frustrate you, then feel free to search for another cache.

Many searchers reported a bee hive in one of the trees nearby – be careful. A surprising amount of wildlife (turkeys and deer) are seen from the road near this cache in the late afternoon.

The current cache is an ammo can. The original cache is a tupperware. It is within 10 feet of the ammo can. If you find the tupperware, feel free to take it and make a new cache somewhere.

If you get different coordinates, feel free to post them. The tree cover can be quite tricky.

There is poison oak in the area but not at the cache location.

The clue can be decoded using a simple 2-letter transposition (a=c, b=d, c=e, d=f, etc.).
