Geocache Description:

This Cache is part of the Helena, Montana GeoExpeditionMT. The GeoExpeditionMT spans the scenic Helena area from the heights of MacDonald Pass, through historic downtown gulch then south to Boulder and the Elkhorn Ghost Town. Discover all the treasures of Montana’s Capital City. View GeoTour rules, DOWNLOAD a PASSPORT, and check out geocaching hotel packages at www.helenamt.com/geocaching.

Far above the Missouri River, the new Two Camps Vista area commemorates the Lewis and Clark Expedition and other early pioneers in the area. On 20 July 1805, both Lewis and Clark camped within a mile of this point. Clark had headed out ahead of the main expedition with several men to find the Snake (Shoshone) Tribe while Lewis remained with the boats. This cache is handicapped accessible.

Even though this is a small cache, it does contain some trade items. Original contents are: Log book and pencil, a necklace, a bottle opener, a letter "A" pin, a "Nobody does it better" pin, a Scrabble pin and a foam rubber stamp. Bring very small trade items.
