Please park in the car park at S 45° 03.070 E 169° 12.879
WARNING: You need to cross SH8 and the cars
are moving at speed. Please cross with care.
The track starts a short distance south of the car park. It is a
steep climb of 85 metres on a gravel track. Some of the steps are
high. Allow half an hour return walking time.
It is worthwhile carrying on around the track and viewing the
potential land slip site. (There is another cache there) It is easy
to see why the geologists were/are concerned about this site when
the Clyde dam was constructed.
Allow an hour to walk around the whole track.
The cache is a 2 litre camo painted snap lock container and when
hidden contained:
Notebook and pencil
Tiki
Golf ball (used)
Small pinball game
Small screwdriver
Balloons
