Elysium Traditional Cache
Frozen Feet: Regretfully we have decided to archive this long-standing cache.
Increasing numbers of finders have been driving on to private property to find the cache, despite it being close to the road with instructions to cross the fence and to respect the property.
As cachers are no longer able to respect the private property that we placed the cache on, we feel it's best to archive.

Elysium is the Ancient Greek version of Heaven. The owners of this property certainly think that this place is worthy of its name. Depending on your approach, you will probably pass the vineyards and olive groves planted here -what could be more heavenly than wine and olive oil?
There are also a variety of vegetables, fruits and nut trees planted here, and native revegetation efforts are ongoing. There are also rolling hills, dams and pine forests.
You are welcome to enter the property on foot to find the cache but please be careful not to damage the fence when crossing it and leaving things as you found them. You won't have to venture in too far from the road.
PLEASE DO NOT DRIVE ON THE PROPERTY.
Bring some bigger swaps, the cache is a LARGE 20 litre container, and should be very easy to spot if you look in the right place. Take care when "extracting" it and it should last the distance. Mind your head especially - we don't want any head injuries should the equipment holding the cache fail!!
The cache contains a log book and heaps of fairly good quality swaps. When the weather cools down a bit we may include some small (sealed) bottles of extra virgin olive oil from the property.
Satellite coverage is fairly poor at ground zero but you shouldn't have too much trouble once you get to the general location.
