Joanne was a dedicated employee of REI who perished in a rafting accident in California. Her memorial plaque was brought here in 2003 when we moved from our original location on the Katy Freeway.
The cache is designed to be family friendly and should be reasonably easy for anyone to find without the hint. But if you have trouble, check the hint. The container is large enough for trackables and other small objects. If you take something, please leave something in return for future cachers. And, please leave the cache as you found it so that others may enjoy the hunt.
Note:
This is a very slight relocation (coordinate change not required) of a previous cache - required because landscapers continually threw away the container. Hopefully, this will reduce the frequent replacements.
