Geocache Description:

A not so peaceful resting place is the location for the 19th cache by caughtatwork.

A resting place that is directly in line with the North / South runway at Melbourne International Airport results in an extremely noisy eternal rest for the patrons of this place.

If you look up, you might see whether the captain has his seatbelt buckled, the tray table away and the seat in the upright position.

The official viewing area (S 37º 38.625’ E 144º 50.024’) will also give you a spectaular view of the planes as they come in to land and take off, assuming the weather conditions are right. Regardless of the time of day or night, this area is almost always populated.

But back to the cache. This is a simple traditional cache, that you will be able to find without a long walk and in just a few minutes. Some of the stones in this area are well over 100 years old, so if history is your thing, take the time to view some of the history.

The cache is placed sensitively and you will not need to cross any resting places to get to it.

The cache is around 500ml, disguised and originaly contained a Log Book and Pen, some Chalk, a Compass Whistle, Flexi Pencil, Stickers, Dinosaur, Turtle, Walrus, Kangaroo Keyring, Set of Kids Textas and a Tube of Glitter Glue.

I hope you find this area more peaceful than the residents.
