Teslacoil#1: Do to circumstances well beyond my control the Wapack Trail has been relocated in the area of Windblown this includes the trail to Stony Top (the cache location). Please visit this link for a detailed map of the relocated section of the Wapack Trail. http://www.wapack.org/docs/Windblown_Reloc_Map.pdf Unfortunately the general public is not permitted to use the trail to Stony top (the cache site) with out having to buy a pass for Windblown. I am very sorry but these circumstances are forcing me to archive this quality cache.

Geocache Description:

parking coords are N42.46.383 W071.53.951 Trail starts across the street.Walk down wapack road you will see a yellow triangle on a tree to the right this is the trail head.The terrain is gradule incline nothing too steep.

You will be looking for yellow triangles on the trees. These are used to mark the Wapack Trail. This part of the Wapack is on private ski area land owned by the Windblown Ski Touring Center.The owner restricts winter use to those using snowshoes or skis.In winter when there is snow cover you must register at the ski lodge and pay a trail fee.The rest of the time you are free to hike the trail.From the cache site you will experience scenic views to the south of Barret Mt, New Ipswich Mt and Mt Watatic. This is a nice place to have lunch or just sit and meditate.The cache container is small so will only hold small items. It is well hidden. Please hide it well so it will not get muggled.Hope you enjoy this area as it is a favorite of mine.And remember "KEEP ON CACHING"
