North Park (Canterbury) Traditional Cache
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
The cache is just off the wide grass verge on the outskits of Ashburton. This would be a good place to stop and stretch your legs during a long (or short) journey.
The cache is a brown, round screwtop container. When hidden it contained a logbook and pencil along with a keyring, phonecard, trinket box, large ball bearing and interesting small stones.
Go in on the north side of the nearby stream. There is a small clearing close by if you lose coverage but you are only going under the tree cover for a few metres. The cache is at ground level and is covered in pine needles and leaf litter.
