Needham Lake forms part of the Gipping Valley footpath though peaceful Suffolk countryside that links Stowmarket to the county town of Ipswich
Along the gipping valley footpath are a number of fishing and leisure lakes created by gravel excavation along the Gipping Valley. Needham lake is popular with fishermen, model boat enthusiasts, walkers and families enjoying the leisure facilities. Nearby are refreshments and shops. Travel to Needham Market is quick and speedy on the London to Liverpool Street railway line with a station next to the lake. On Saturday mornings there is a large car boot sale next to the lake.
Public Pay and Display parking can be found at the above co-ordinates and this is where you will find the clue, a telephone number 014GH JKLMNP displayed on bottom of the notice board.

There’s a lovely walk to the cache and around the village, if you get time visit the farmers market at Alder Car farm or the large Car Boot Sale held every Saturday morning.
