Geocache Description:

Located in wood at the top of a hill overlooking Nottingham to the North.

The best place to approach from is a small car car park at the end of Peveril Drive (NG2 7AU) from where a steep path rises - however if there has been rain this path is one step up and you slide back two. Alternatively you can park at the entrance to the lane leading off the A60 (Loughborough Road) at the bend just east of the cemetary. Another possibility is a layby on the ring road quite close to a public footpath leading up the hill from the opposite direction - haven't dared to try this though as the ring road is busy.

There are some good views from this hill but not so many once you get inside the wood where the cache is. The landmark is two trees that have fused to form an 'H' about 2 metres above ground, it's on small path on the east of the wood. Cache is plastic soup bottle; you'll almost certainly need the hint, it's well hidden as it's a popular dog walking spot. And if you are a fungus fan take your "I-Spy Mushrooms" book.

Another uninteresting fact is that Tom Baker used to live near here when he was married to a Wheatcroft - you'll see Wheatcroft's garden centre to the S/SE.
