Geocache Description:

In 1914 the railroad undertook a major project to cut down Honeysett Hill. It had the steepest grade between Pittsburgh and Buffalo and limited the amount of freight that could be hauled. The hill was cut down and the grade was filled in behind it and these features can still be seen along the route. A dangerous ground level crossing was also eliminated by the place ment of a bridge.

You can park at the state property opposite the cemetery on Route 430 in Mayville. the cache is an ammo can hidden on the east side of the trail. You do not need to leave the trail property to find this one.
