To Drive it or Not, That is the Question? Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

DTCBEARSnMATHMATE: Sadly, we are archiving this cache.
.
We came to this decision after checking with Angie Kersten, P.E., County Engineer, Scott County Secondary Roads Department. The powdery dirt road itself, and gaining access from it up the steep bank to the cache had been the unique and fun part of this cache. Since it is no longer legal to be on that road or in that area, we are choosing to archive the cache versus trying to move it somewhere else that would not be the original D/T or intent of the cache.
.
Per the County Engineer…
.
“In 2017, we received a petition from the land owners along this section of 260th Avenue to reclassify the road as an Area Service “C” road. An Area Service “C” road is closed to the public with access allowed only to the adjoining land owners. The Scott County Board of Supervisors approved reclassifying this road to Area Service “C” on July 27, 2017.”
.
“It will need to be moved (or archived), since the road is no longer open to the public.”

Geocache Description:

Cache is located just off a dirt road. Terrain rating could increase considerably if it has rained lately. You can no longer drive in from the North (see photo), but you can still walk to get to GZ!

Container is a smaller camo'd container and could hold some very small items to trade. Oldtimer1 says: "It had been 3 days since it had rained and I was a bit squeamish even with my 4 wheel drive. Cache is 1/2 mile from an improved road."
