Geocache Description:

AGA Christmas Party and Cache Bash

Oh Come all ye faithful geocachers to Ryan's Steakhouse, Crestwood Boulevard at Festival Center, Birmingham, Al on Sunday, December 19th from 1-5 pm!

Lunch Buffett is ~$15., lots of good food and a private room that seats around 60.

Secret Santa registration: Send an Email to TheAlabamaRambler@alacache.com to register your interest in participating in the Secret Santa gift swap. I will toss all names in a hat and draw to pair registrants at random for gift swapping.

When we did this last year on Clayjar's GeoChat it was a huge hit!

We limited the gift to $5. value - some stuck to that, some didn't, but everyone had fun! Don't feel you have to be extravagant - a $5. gift is just fine!

Toys For Kids - If you so choose bring a toy to be donated to kids in need. There are a number of Pastors and Youth Ministers in our group and rather than send these toys to strangers at Toys For Tots we will give them to these ministers to distribute to families in their church.

Gift Caches - I will place 3 Gift Cache Ammo Boxes close to the restarant before the event and the coords will be given out during the party - these will be 15-minute finds so folks can run out and get them, come back and show off their loot! Anyone wanting to contribute to the content of these Gift Caches contact me by December 17th.

Caches - there are literally hundreds in a 20 mile radius!

Christmas Cache Ride - After the party at 5pm we'll form up a convoy to do local caches and look at Chritmas lights!

CLARIFICATION: Lest I may have confused anyone about the cost: There is no charge for the party, GeoRose and I will host all costs except meals. If you choose not to eat it will just cost you travel money!

The $15 price is approximately what they charge for Sunday's Buffet. You can save big bucks by ordering smaller alacarte meals, but I pig out on the buffet every time and have no idea what regular meals cost...I think you can eat a good meal for $6-7 bucks.

Not all Ryan's branches have an all-you-can-eat grill - this one does, and the meats, especially the steaks, are excellent.
