A little over two years ago i ordered my first GPS (the garmin
etrex), a few days after i had it in my hands i logged my first
cache,
Arbustum, with the help of then lexington cacher,
wcgreen. I was hooked! after several caches in the next couple
of months, i decided i wanted to meet up with the other folks that
lived and cached in the area. and so Geocky's first cache event was
created.
Central Kentucky Cachers event took place at Bella Notte
restaurant in Lexington, ky. We ate good food, finally put names
from log books with faces, and swapped cache stories.
Over the next two years i cached whenever i could! i've had some
great trips on my own, and some great trips with other cachers (and
non cachers as well!). With Geocky's second birthday coming up, i
decided to do something to commemorate the groups' beginning. I
also just recently snagged my
1000th cache! So, in order to cover both momentus occasions, i
came up with this cache. The coordinates will lead you to a regular
sized container (hidden near the very first cache i placed). From
that container, you will have to find the log book in order to log
this cache. There could be a few steps involved, or many many many
steps. Not only does it reflect the One Thousand Caches
Found in my last two years, but i also created a way to cover
all
the caches i found leading up to the Central Kentucky Cachers
Event held on December 14th, 2002.
Good Luck!
