Geocache Description:

Your journey begins at the Thomas A. Dixon Jr., Aircraft Observation Area on the South side of Baltimore-Washington International Airport. Hopefully, this cache will attract some cachers who have a layover at BWI. The clear container is 380 feet from a paved trail.

This cache was hidden for Thanksgiving 2004. What are you thankful for?

I haven't played pool in awhile but I've been enjoying the game for as long as I can remember. You see, Dad bought a small bar pool table when I was three and bought me a cue when I could barely see over the edge. Later, I'd race home from school and play for hours while listening to the "Oldies" on Dad's jukebox. I couldn't wait for him to come home and ask, "Wanna play?" Over the years, my focus changed to baseball but, after the sun went down, Dad and I always found the time to enjoy a game. I eventually moved away, had a family and started a career of my own. As priorities changed, I played less and less. But, every couple years I'd find my way home for some R&R, visit with friends and family, and play a game with Dad. Its been almost 20 years since I moved away and that old, faded pool table is still there. It's mostly used for folding laundry these days but I know it brings back fond memories for both of us. It makes me smile to think ahead to my next visit when I’ll ask, “Wanna play?” Funny, I don’t remember him ever saying, “No.”

“Thanks, Dad!”

There’s a part of this memory in the cache that shouldn’t be removed!
