Rough River Dam State Resort Park is located on Rough River Lake. One of the features of this park is its state owned airport where you can fly into the park, grab a bite to eat or stay at the lodge overnight and fly out. As with all the State Resort Parks in Kentucky, one of my favorite things to do is to eat at the Sunday Buffet that is served at the lodge (Better Half Shell’s and my favorite is the banana pudding).
There are two different trail systems in and around the park. There is a one-mile nature trail that follows the lake shoreline, and links the lodge, marina and cottage areas and the Army Corps of Engineers maintain a self-guided interpretive trail on federal land adjacent to the park which is where this cache is located.
This cache has been placed 160 feet from the trail. The cache is a glass pickle jar with a few trade items and a logbook.
Please be discrete while retrieving this cache.
