Geocache Description:

This part of St Swithun's Way is a pretty riverside walk which runs from Winchester to Kings Worthy. The cache is located within a moderate walking distance from suggested parking spaces in Abbot's Barton or Kings Worthy.

The cache is a small black tub, with a few swaps, so please feel free to take something - leave room for travel bugs! Please beware of nettles in the vicinity of the cache - although the cache site itself is (or at least was) nettle-free. Please make sure it is well covered up afterwards.

You can approach the cache from either end of the footpath – there’s not much difference in the distance.
There is on-street parking in Kings Worthy in the road opposite the Jubilee Hall. Please don’t park at the Jubilee Hall as it is in regular use. Alternatively you could avail yourself of the hospitality at the Cart and Horses pub and just cross the road to the church where you should find your way onto the footpath.

At Abbots Barton, (the other end of the track) there is on-street parking at N51°04.362 W001°18.617 or a small car park where you can park free for a couple of hours. Follow St Swithun’s Way. This may be the prettier and quieter route to the cache, although the path is popular with runners, ramblers and dog walkers.
If you’d like to do an A to B walk, the "Spring" and the number 64 buses run from Winchester bus station to Kings Worthy Church so you could leave your car at one end or the other and get the bus back.
