Near Alexandria Bay - Noosa Heads
We first learned of Geocaching when my brother (Dicky Mint) and his wife (Mrs. Mint) spent a three week holiday with us in August.
We travelled around Southern Queensland with them, finding caches, and decided we would like to place a cache of our own.
We decided upon our favourite spot on Noosa Heads – this is where we want our ashes spreading when we “shoot through”
Noosa Heads is located at the northern end of Alexandria Bay, producing a rocky headland that extends to the northeast. This is a prime surfing spot as southeasterly breezes sweep around the tip of the Noosa National Park.
The real reason Noosa Heads has become so popular for visitors are the excellent surfing opportunities that exist at the four beaches on the headland. All levels of surfing prowess are catered for. The further along the points you get, the bigger the waves become.
Parking at S 26.22.887 – E 153.05.937 leaves a beautiful walk to the cache, a large silver coffee tin.
Alexandria Beach - off the beaten track but a 'must see' during your visit to Noosa.
"Beautiful one day ... and has been ever since".
Enjoy it. Sue and Geoff – The McMurray Mints
