Unknown to many, smack down in the middle of the Santa Barbara-Goleta metropolitan area, lays a land of enchantment still relatively untouched by the controversy. There, residents happily coexist with visitors, hikers with mountain bikers, dog owners with joggers and, in summer, nudists and voyeurs as well.
A large, relatively underpopulated beach offers privacy, unforgettable sunsets, and even the occasional whale sighting. Acres of land allow casual strolling, horse riding, birdwatching, and of course, Geocaching.
A place like this clearly can’t last that long. Catch this cache while you can.
The cache is an ammo container with a logbook and pencil. The coordinates given are for a nearby place where you can go and stand for a while. While standing there, look around, hey, there is a sign! On the sign, you will find a very prominent number in the format:
ABC-DEF-GHIJ
With the use of your faithful geocacher pencil you can now easily rewrite the cache coordinates:
3F.2C.3CH, 11D FH.ABH
The original cache content:
- Pocket flashlight (in case you come at sunset)
- Hand cleaner (in case you put your hands where you shouldn’t have)
- Multi-tool (in case you encounter problems on the way back)
- “Bike to Work” flashing bike light (in case you bike here
- A little whale, and a little seal (in case you bring kids).
Please be nice and replace items with something of equal value or appeal, no rocks, candy pocket change or used lip balm, thank you.
