Hilly Fields Enfield #2 Holly and Ivy Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

kbootb: I've moved 150 miles away. I kept it going for 3 years after the move but get back so rarely that it's not feasible to look after it. It's a shame, it's been going a long while. Anybody willing to adopt it?

Geocache Description:

Small tupperware type box, painted green

Hilly fields forms part of a series of Estates bought by Enfield Council and linked by numerous footpaths, creating a large area of woodland and open country parkland ideal for walking, horse riding etc. This cache is also near the London Loop walk.

The local residents have a website Hillyfields that gives more information.

Terrain is fairly easy, tarmac paths to the edge of the woods. The area is very popular with dog walkers and other locals. The ground can be very muddy, the area is known as Clay Hill.

Intial contents
2005 Diary
Colour Pencils
Batteries
Rubber
Padlock
Loopy Lou

Refreshements at the Fallow Buck or Rose and Crown highly recommended.

Parking in local streets is easy, but don't be tempted to drive too far down Cook's Hole Road, it is not maintained and the pot holes can be murder.

Nearest train station 15 minutes walk from Gordon Hill.

October 2006 Update

Cache is still there but hidden at ground level. New spoiler pictures added to help find the correct tree.
