ONE OF THE AREA'S MOST BEAUTIFUL CANYONS
This is one of the most beautiful walks in the area.
Park at the Rice Canyon/ East Canyon parking area (on The Old Road south of the Towsley Canyon park). Walk 2.2 miles to the cache, located at the base of an oak tree that overlooks the Santa Clarita Valley. The cache is in an ammo box that I won at the "Eat, Drink and God Bless America" geo-picnic.
This is a wide, well maintained trail, and there is absolutely no bushwacking involved. If you are tempted to bushwack your way to the tree, just keep walking along the trail. You will soon see a side trail that will take you right to the site.
