How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

This cache is dedicated to all the geocachers out there who have created their own personal geocache card. This is a traditional cache but instead of containing typical trinkets & swag to trade the goal of this cache is create an ever-growing collection of geocache cards. If you have designed your own card, please leave two in the cache.

NOTE: GPS reception may be spotty. There is no need to bushwack.

While it is often surprising to see what items for trade are in a cache, lately I have been particularly interested in seeing what geocache cards are inside a cache. Geocache cards are similar to a typical business card but features a geocachers name instead of a business or person. Some cachers get very creative with the graphics and along with signing the log leaving a card in the cache is a way of saying “I was here!”

The intention of this cache is to create a collection of geocache cards. This collection will be displayed in two forms. Inside the cache is a card file containing cards of everyone who visits the cache. The cache also includes a ziplock bag to place a second card. I will periodically pick up the cards in the ziplock bag, scan them and post the collection on this cache page. Feel free to include the thoughts behind your card design in the log.

Cache Rules:
1) Leave only geocache cards in this cache. The card can be of any type or size but must be related to geocaching. Please do not leave business cards unless your business relates directly to geocaching.

2) If possible, leave two cards. Insert one in the card file (this will stay with the cache) and place the second card in the ziplock bag (for me to pick up a add to the on-line collection).

3) There are no items for trade in this cache. Feel free to look at the card collection as it grows but please leave the cards in the cache.

4) If you do not have a geocard, feel free to log the cache. If you create a card in the future, consider another visit and add it to the collection.
