Flores Peak is a stunning, if small butte that is a broken off part of the same geological formation that includes the far more inaccessible Vulture Crags. You don't have to climb the peak to find the cache.
The hike begins at the Tucker Wildlife Sanctuary and takes you up the very beginnings of the Harding Trail and then down towards Modjeska Reservoir.
If you've been skunked trying to find Overlooked at Harding or Pandora's Box, this easy find should restore your bruised self esteem. (This is why I call it a Health Spa.) The round trip walk should take no more than half an hour. But why stop here when the caches of the Harding Trail await you?
This is a travel bug hotel. There must be one travel bug remaining in the cache at all times. Feel free to use this location for leaving off Travelertags (see http://www.travelertags.com) as well. You may trade for items in this cache either equally or with an item of greater value. (Much of what is in here started in a 99 cents store.) Sign the logbook and replace the cache as you found it. Don't take any disposable cameras that you find in the cache.
At its setting out, the cache contained the following items:
- 2 x bouncing balls
- 1 x FM radio scanner
- 1 x ladybug scissors
- 1 x penguin
- 1 x kooshy reindeer ornament
- 2 x xmas slide puzzles
- 1 x black direction decisionmaker
- 1 x neon jumprope
- 1 x deck of cards
Camera in cache: This cache may contain a camera. It is not a trade item. Please leave it in the cache. There is a limit of two photos per team. When the film has been used up, please post a message to the cache information sheet at http://www.geocaching.com.
