This is a traditional geocache, located at the West end of the yard near the street. The cache is a Rock Exchange, so bring an interesting rock or fossil to trade.
The cache is a rectangular plastic container
While visiting my grandfather ('Put', short for his last name, Putnam), my brother and I took him to find his first geocache. When we returned, he said "How can I set up a geocache?" He wanted it to be interesting and placed where he could easily monitor it, so, with his permission, we placed it in his yard.
'Put' has collected rocks all his life, so he decide that a rock exchange would be a good way to participate in geocaching.
The cache contains Texas petrified wood pieces. Bring an interesting rock to trade for the rocks in the cache. Use the ziplock snack bag, label and enclosed pen to identify where the rock is from and, if possible, what it is.
Enoy looking at the rock gardens while you are visiting the geocache, but please do not disturb them, only trade for what is actually in the cache.
