Celebrating it's 20th year, the Waukesha JanBoree is a three day winter celebration January 21 to the 23, 2005 showcasing free fun family indoor and outdoor activities around the city. There will be over 30 events for all ages from toddlers to seniors including ice sculpting, comedy show, folk telling to snow showing and tobboganing. GEOCACHERS MORNING CHECK IN 8:00-10:00 AM
The coordinates above will bring you to the SCHUETZE Recreation Center, the hub of activity for the JanBoree event that day. Park your car and get set for a morning of adventure! Check in and receive the coordinates for 10ish temporary "urban" micro geocaches that will be hidden in downtown Waukesha for this weekend. Start at Schuetze and ride the trolley. (Please note the difficulty rating is set due to the anticipated "muggle" activity in the area.
GEOCACHERS MEET UP
Our Geocachers meet up will begin at 12 noon at T-Rex Pizza downtown Waukesha (N 43 00.695 W 88 13.885). Come meet other Geocachers, share your geocaching stories and trade those travel bugs! A family priced meal deal will be available/ optional (order/ pay on your own). Take the trolley back to your car afterwards.
For those not able to participate in the morning geocache hunt, check in at T-Rex Pizza (between 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM) to meet and greet and to pick up the coordinates as the caches will be in place for the remainder of the weekend.

Not a winter Geocacher? At least come to meet & greet, trade travel bugs and share Geocaching stories at T-Rex! If the snow really flies tonight, meet up at lunch!
Please bring: 1) Radio – I will be available via radio to assist you during the event, 2) pen or pencil – each cache will be equipped with a pencil but bring yours just incase they go missing 3) your digital camera as we do have a locationless cache opportunity.
There are 15 potential “cache finds" involved with this event. Just by coming to lunch and signing the log book, you can get 1. Some caches will be available during the morning or afternoon hours only. Some caches will be available starting at 9 or 10 AM due to their hours of operation. There are a few stops that will not be “log-able finds” but will offer you and your family some “geo-swag” items to remember your experience with (trades are not necessary). The local jewelry store has donated 2 "hot diamond" rings that will be hidden in one of the caches - random winners! All are located in the downtown Waukesha area within walking distance on sidewalks. Caches are all very winter friendly, no snow digging should be necessary! Most are in shoveled areas too.
