I was surprised at GHAGAFAP III, when I was approached by the Geocite team and presented with a completely assembled cache. They had been the last finders of the "1812 on the Niagara Parkway: Part 1" final before the cache went missing. They felt that they may have been observed replacing the cache and wanted to accept responsiblity for its disappearance. The cache had long since been replaced, but I accepted theirs, thinking that when I got around to placing it, I would name the cache after them in appreciation of their generosity and thoughtfulness. This one's for you, gang!
The cache is hidden in St. John's Wood Conservation Area, on the St. John's Ridge Trail (white markers). The parking lot can be found at the dead end of Barron Rd. at N 43 03.996 W 79 17.098. To access the parking lot, you must pass through a gate that is only open on weekends and holidays 8-6. If you visit this cache during the week, there is limited parking outside the gate and you'll add another 200 meters to your walk.
