This is another cache highlighting the Hub City Connector, Spartanburg's local passage of the Palmetto Trail. This section of the Palmetto Trail is at the campus of USC-Upstate (Formally known as USC-Spartanburg. Kinda makes you want to change it to a symbol huh?)
Follow the yellow blazed trail to and along the Lawson Fork Creek.
This is a great place to picnic, with several sets of tables on the trail, and it isn't too hard for kids to walk.
The Cache used to be a red "Folgers" plastic coffee-can (hence the name of the cache).
When I adopted it, I replaced it with a more durable "can" of another type.
The cache container is aprox. 12 horizontal feet from the edge of the trail.
Along the way, you will see many sections of the USCS obstacle course. If you venture further than the cache, you will see more of the course.
Hope you enjoy the cache, and your stroll through the woods!
