The above coordinates are for parking only. This is a night cache that uses the aid of flashlights to locate the trail of reflective tacs that will illuminate the way.
The round trip is approximately 2.5 miles and should probably take about an hour. The trails are open, dry, and fairly level at the time of placement. Mosquitoes were not out the night I placed this, but in wetter seasons, I imagine they could be a force to contend with.
This would be best done by applying the buddy system. Take some fresh batteries, a good flashlight, and your sense of adventure. The last 60' requires some bushwacking, but the rest of the hike is nice and open.
This cache is a little different in that I have placed some "special" trade items for the Geo-Lunch group that I meet with, as well as a few other cachers. The items for these cachers are placed in ziploc bags and marked with the cachers' names on the outside. There are also some VERY nice general trade items in the cache for all geocachers to choose from as well. These include a wide variety of geocaching buttons and patches, as well as other nice items.
If the specially marked items have not been retrieved by those named cachers after 60 days, they will become fair trade items to the general caching public.
Rumor has it that the ghost of a mutant ruminant patrols the cache area and has been seen on occasion by the unwary night hiker. Please, if you see this ghost, do not bother it and it PROBABLY won't bother you.
The cache container is a 2.5 gallon camoed bucket. Please make sure the lid is replaced SECURELY. Enjoy the hike and the cache. Remember it's not the destination, it's the journey!
