Geocache Description:

Access to this cache will require good brakes on your vehicle and cautious driving because the road is VERY STEEP and winding. ** DO NOT attempt in sever winter weather **

Several folks have noted incorrect corridnates and have provide me with a new set, so if you have trouble try these:

** This is a state maintained (public) road but the property off the road/right-of-way is private property. **

This cache is a small clear cylindrical plastic tube about 7-8" long and 1" diameter. It is on ground level covered with leaves.

It is within 2 feet of the pavement, so you will NOT have to venture over the bank. Parking just above cache within 30 feet. View of falls and Columbus, NC from cache.

The falls above the cache are called Shunkawauken Falls (originally Horse Creek Falls), the name was changed in 1891 in honor of an Indian Chief, and cascade from the summit of White Oak Mtn.
