I need to warn you there is usually mush
keep walking till you gingerly cross the stream
now you enter the woods as was deemed.
get to this by using Davis Rd. off Bear. The entrance way is beyond the Dead End sign. This is state land that was heavily damaged during the labor day storm a couple of years ago. Mud creek runs through here to the north and it is possible to take a canoe trip in. There is a beaver pond to the south of the trail. The end of this trail is a swamp which is sometimes passable in the winter.
Most times you will need boots and crossing the stream is kind of tricky. I would imagine many mosquitos and overgrown in the summer. Beware of hunters during season,wear bright colors.
