Geocache Description:

This cache is located atop the ridge on Berkshire Valley Road in the Rockaway River WMA area. Terrain is a steep uphill ascent.

There are two ways to get to this cache. You can park just below the cache location - a small pull-off on Taylor Road, which will give you a bushwhack just below the cache site. Once below the rock overlook, I recomment circling to the right, attempting going left is wet and slippery. Or you can park by the brown WMA sign and take the white dot trail up the mountain (starting by the archery trail). Start navigation when the wood's road cresses the top passing where the white dot trail leaves the old road to the right. Or you can also follow the old road that intersects which another and takes you very close to the cache location. You will exit the WMA area, briefly, taking this longer route.

The cache container is a decon. box hooked to a short tether line to keep wildlife from removing it. Log book and small trade items are inside. No need to lift or move anything; retrieval by reach is only needed. The view is ideal from this rock outcropping; cache is not located near edges of overlook. Great view! Hard climb! It's worth it!
