This webcam is located at the Jackson Ski Touring Foundation Base Lodge in Jackson, NH.
Jackson is known as the #1 Cross-Country Ski Area in the Eastern United States. They have 155 kilometers of groomable trails for all levels of ability. This webcam is only active during the ski season and looks from the back of the Base Lodge WSW across the Wentworth Golf Course towards Duck's Head Mountain. In order to log this cache you must get a picture of yourself in front of the webcam. Wearing your cross-country skis would be a nice touch.
To log this webcam:
1. Find the webcam location using the listed coordinates.
2. Stand in front of the webcam.
3. Call your helper on a cell phone.
4. Your helper must go to www.jacksonxc.org and Click on Live Webcam. The picture updates erratically. Your helper must capture your image and save it on their computer. Note: Sometimes the webcam seems shut down for a period of time or updates at longer intervals. Check before you leave home that it is operating. The staff at the Cross Country Center has been very helpful and will aide you in getting your picture. There is free WiFi Internet access at the Center and there also is an Internet Terminal available for a small fee, so you may be able to capture your own image. Cell phone coverage has been reported as weak by some.
6. You must upload the picture with your log to claim the cache.
