Geocache Description:

This cache was the result of a geocaching/orienteering inner troop competition on 12/4/2004. There were five caches hidden by the adult leaders and we had to locate them. Also the cache had a piece of paper in it with compass coordinates and distance to travel. At the final destination we had to answer question pertaining to boy scouts. The winner was the one to return to the starting point with the most finds and the most correct answers in the shortest amount of time. And yes I'm waiting for it, Cachecows209's team beat my team by 15 seconds. After the competition we all decided to leave one cache behind for others to enjoy. Once at the cache you have a choice to do another leg of the course. At the cache you will see a paper with the amount of feet and degrees you must go with your compass (It's in the ziplock bag with the log sheet, remember the rest of the cache is optional. You can go to the next leg if you want to see what kind of questions we had to answer. If you want the answers to the questions, e-mail me and I'll tell you the answers.) Once you get to the spot where it tells you to go, you will have the chance to answer the question on the card for extra credit. Thanks again to all the adults in our troop who made this possible. Finally this cache is located on a wildlife preserve with the permission from the California Department of Fish and Game to place it here. On this outing we didn't see as many animals as last years, but thats just how it goes. We've placed simple odds and ends in the cache. Hope everyone enjoys this area as much as we did! If you are interested in this cache try looking for the other one! BTW there are many great CITO chances here.
