Geocache Description:

I know, I know, there aren't any bears around here, but bear in mind (I just had to do that) if there were, I imagine half of us Geocacher's would have been eaten by now!
Anyway, if there were bears here, and there probably was at one time, they in all probability would have been the Black bear, since Wisconsin is infamous for them.
One note before going on, did you know that in extreme northern ranges, bears den up and do not eat, drink, or defecate in some cases for as long as 6 month's!
They must have one heck of a bladder or wear Depends. Catch the rest at the cache,..
(More info on the Black bear will be placed in the cache on Friday, Dec. 31.)

Now on to the good stuff,..this cache hunt will call for skills involving the use of a GPS and a compass.

This ammo box cache is not very far from 87th St., there's not much walking, but watch out for the BEAR in the woods.

1. Use your GPS and stalk carefully and quietly, all the
time watching out for the BEAR!!

2. Once you find it, use your compass and take a heading
of: 200 degrees and walk 54 paces (135')to find the
cache which contains 2 DVD'S, magnifying glass, small
lock & key, a beer can opener, and a Comcast "One Free
Pay-Per View Coupon".

The top of the hill is a wonderful place to sit down against a tree and dream in the sunlight. It not only keeps you warm, but relaxes you and lets your innner vision wander.
Visit it when you can.

NOTE: Pace or "overall stride" is measured from heel to
heel on the same foot.
"Stride" is simply measured from the toe of the
right to heel of the left foot.

In this case, I am measuring from toe of the right to heel of the left. Approx. 16" for the stride or pace. My overall stride is 30". The difference is because since I am right handed, I naturally curve to the right.
