Pederick's Playground Traditional Cache

Pedericks Playground is on a point of land overlooking beautiful Colliers Harbour and nearby Pederick Island and Grace's Beach. Short and easy walk along the coast. No hills if you approach the right way. There are at least 18 geocaches within a six mile radius of Colliers so that fact (plus the beautiful scenery) makes it definitely worth a trip out from the city.
NOTE: This is a fun little geocache that can be done as well if you are out looking for "Santa's a Bayman". That's another geocache which is not too far away. I can actually see the "Santa" location when I'm standing at Pederick's Playground...of course I know where to look...which is a bit of an advantage ;)
Surrounding beaches include Grace's Beach, the School Beach (Burkes Cove), Ghaney's Beach, and further down the habour, James Cove Beach.
Aside from the abundance of seabirds in the summer months this is a nice place to occasionally spot whales in season. More recently a Giant Squid ( a female specimen approximately 20 feet long) landed on December 05, 2004 by the landmark known as "The Red Rock" on Ghaney's Beach and attracted National Media attention...so keep an eye out as you never know what you might see washed ashore :)
This is the second in a series of geocaches Flynnsbeach and Bittensticks hid in the area. Have a look for the others while you are out here :) Also make a note of the codeword in the logbook. There may be a prize for folks who find ANY TEN of them.
Cache is a well hidden small white beef bucket with a white lid. There's not too many areas it could be so it shouldn't be too hard to find. Please rehide carefully as this area gets a bit of foot traffic at times.
If you take Harbour Drive and then the Cove Road (part way) it should get you pretty close.
