- POLITICAL CORRECTNESS DISCLAIMER- I don’t apologize for the
social commentary you are about to read.
I placed this one with Macy’s Department Store in view in honor
of their brilliant marketing strategy to ban the word Christmas
from their advertising. Even though a good percentage of their
business comes from Christmas shoppers, Macy’s management has
decided that the word Christmas is too offensive for the public.
Hypocritical, hmmm. So much for "Miracle on 34th Street," to me
it's more like "Unbelievable on Shaw Avenue" That being said, I
hope my cache doesn’t offend anyone due to all the political
correctness that abounds these days. But, I’m sure someone out
there won’t appreciate the sarcasm. Oh well guess you can’t make
everyone feel comfortable. So, for all of you that may be offended
by Christmas lets put the meaning of Christmas on trial and all
sing Kumbaya.
If you still want to find my cache have fun and Merry
Cachemas! - UPDATE - Christmas 2005 Seeming to fall to
the pressure of the evil conservatives Macy's decided to say Merry
Christmas this year as well as Happy Hanukah and Kwanzaa. Better
watch out they forgot Ramadan! What about Political Correctness.
Bill Marr must be turning over in his grave!
