Geocache Description:

This cache overlooks an abandoned golf course from Poor Fawn Mountain in Harriman State Park.

This is one of three caches I have placed either on or near an abandoned golf course. The new Parker Cabin Hollow Trail(orange blaze) can be used to travel part way to any of the three caches, trailhead parking is at N 41.13.779/W 074.10.661. To approach the cache area you may travel the Parker cabin trail to N 41.13.459/W 074.10.410 where the new trail takes a sharp left hand turn, this is a good departure point for a bushwhack to the top of Poor Fawn Mountain where the cache is located. An alternative route would be to bushwhack directly from the parking area on Route 106. While this cache is quite close to the other two as the crow flys, there is a major vertical height difference, which is best overcome by bushwacking towards the departure point from the new trail that is listed above.
