Geocache Description:

Cache is located in a small field under the high tension power lines accessable from Childress Rd near the I30/636 mixmaster. A short walk from the parking area.

Using either the I30 & Galloway exits or the I635 & Town East intersection, this travel bug hotel can be accessed rather easily from those points. After looking forever for a good, quick spot to move TBs around on the east side of town, we found this compromise. You can easily reach the parking area if you are near Town East Mall by shooting north through the area with all the restaurants (East Side of 635) or from the east on I30 at the Galloway exit. Park either at the apartments or under the TXU lines accessed from the alley at N32* 49.185 W96* 37.613.

Be careful if you have to cross this busy street with fast moving cars. You can reach the cache quiclky once you are on foot if you bypass the trees and head towards the fence that guards the interstate first. but if it's a nice clear day, I recommend walking through the trees to see the interesting creatures there.

This is a single stage ammo box. To get it started just trade what’s in there now with a travel bug. There are some good items including a Where’s George dollar. After that please swap only TBs. Or leave one that needs to get out of town.

While planting this one we saw a tree with two large rats living in it. They ran to the top of the branches and looked worried at us. They may have been prairie dogs too.
