Rockfall
The burn that tumbles down Glen Callum follows the path of an ancient fault. Around 1000 years ago the fault shifted significantly and in the resulting earthquake, great boulders toppled from Tor Mor above. The cache is a surplus fuse box and hidden beneath one of these boulders.
Park at the West Island Way car park at N55 44.824 W5 00.948, and pick up the path heading south. From N55 43.907 W5 00.524, walk up the old track to the crossing at N55 44.003 W5 00.666
From the cache site look back down and you will see boulders that have tumbled down into the glen. Look up and you will see massive boulders sitting precariously on the slope. Watch for Ravens, they will certainly be watching you.
Faults in the West of Scotland shift from time to time and as you pick up the cache you will hope that this one holds fast.
