It looks like your cache has been under the weather for some time. While we feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other cachers from hiding new geocaches around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can't do so forever. Therefore we are archiving this cache so that someone else can place a cache in the area and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location. Geocache Description:


This cache is located at the former site of the American Legion building in Muldraugh, KY. This post was active in the 1940s and 1950s but, sadly, that is no longer the case. Only the buidling's front steps remain and the area has become overgrown with vegetation. This site is an undeveloped portion of the Muldraugh City Park.

If you look downhill, you may see the concrete foundation of the building's outhouse. I resisted the temptation to locate the cache there.

This cache is dedicated to all veterans. Our country asks so much of its youth and, almost without exception, they generously give their time, energy, talents, and occasionally their lives. Upon completion of their military service, many join veterans organizations such as American Legion, AmVets, and Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) where they assist fellow veterans and perform charitable acts in their communities.

This cache is a small Rubbermaid container. The closest parking is at the Dollar General store on US 31W in Muldraugh. Park to the rear of the store so as not to interfere with the store's regular customers. The approximate coordinates for Dollar General are N37 55.567, W085 59.334.
