Geocache Description:

Located at Argyroupoli, a southern suburb of the city of Athens. You have to climb the mountain of Immitos over the suburb
to find the cache.Walking or by mountain bike is a nice idea to go on geocaching up there at the altitude of 225 meters.
You have to use the inclined gravel roads.

It will be a nice adventure to look for the points of the suburb that the gravel roads begin.A road of the suburb that
leads to the gravel roads is called "Digeni Akrita".You can also access the gravel roads from the south at the boundaries
with Glyfada, near the football stadium of Argyroupoli. The road can be easily spotted over the area's cemetary.
While climbing look for a left hairpin, at the mountain crest bellow the tall mobile phone antennas.

The cache originally consisted of the following items: a logbook a pen and a pencil in a seperate bag, a geocaching declaration in
Greek at one side and in English at the opposite, a small white bear with keyring, a green seal of a toad, a souvenir
from Acquario di Genova, a brand new set of playing cards, a PC CD-ROM Hellas Navigator special edition 2003 from
PC Magazine, a red plastic card with the logo "How are you?", an empty plastic fun card of allou fun park and finally
a travel bug attached to a leather australian one penny keyring.
I use these roads at least once a week for my training.I ride my mountain bike there and I am so excited that so
close to my city there is such a gravel road network.
Once you find the cache, enjoy the view of southern Athens from above! You can even see the Parthenon at the top
of the Acropolis and the hill of Lycabetus. You can also see the old airport of the city
that some of the 2004 olympic games were held. The islands of Aegina and Salamina are also in view.
Enjoy ! ! !

08/05/2008 Update Note: The cache has been upgraded to a travel bug & geocoin hotel.I placed a BIGGER plastic tupper that can handle lots of trackable items. It is up to you if you will place in any normal trade items. If there is space, do it.
As the cache contains now more valuable items (to the owners of them), please try to use stealth whenever there are hikers.
