December 21. is the shortest day in the year, but it’s a happy day
too. From this date the days will grow a bit longer every day and
bring us nearer the summer. Let’s celebrate with a
candlelight.
The cache is placed on a small island in a restored barn near an
old pine.
In the summer the place is a part of a fishingpath where you can
relax or protect you against the rain. It’s a good fishingplace but
you have to release fish under 30 cm. Fishingcards for the period
of 15.05 – 15.09. are available on the local Statoil
gasstation.
In the winter here is low activity by humans but the wild animals
are making a lot of prints in the snow. In case of late
Cristmas-cards, it’s possible to make some excellent photos here.
If you are lucky you can meet a small fellow with a red stocking
cap too. He is very friendly but a little scared.
To reach the cache you can park by an Infosign pos. N 62° 29.547 E
11° 11.772. Follow the pointing fish and never walk on cultivated
fields. Please, respect the private farmyard too. There is a little
“footbridge” approx. at N 62° 29.763 E 11° 12.075 you can
use.
In winter I prefere skies but snowshoes are a good alternative.
Good luck!
