Nice easy cache in Wanstead park follow the theme.....Recommended parking is at N51.34.072 E000.03.210 Or if you have sat nav Wanstead park road and Exeter road junction. Another good parking place is Northumberland Avenue Wanstead N.51.33.896.....E.000.02.435.... Wanstead Park hole-e log is part of a themed cache that I have placed in Wanstead park in total there are 9 but only 8 have coordinates the last one is found by gathering the numbers on the lids of the caches and converting them to make the coordinates to find the extra one. You don’t have to it just as much fun to find a few at a time and come back again when you want more.
Wanstead Park has so many great features loads of lakes and great wooded areas. This area has been forest for a very long time. This great link contains some very useful information and a map you can print off for your route planning
This particular cache is nice and easy providing you don’t mind wood lice because as the name suggests they do like wood. you should spy the cache as you approach but watch out at the weekend as football is played from time to time on the adjoining football pitches = lots of mugles Please replace as much cover as possible here as it could well be a play thing for kids “the log” not the cache. ****VERY IMPORTANT DO NOT CONTINUE ALLONG THE RIVER BANK FROM HERE IT GOES NOWHERE****
